Jean-Louis Laborde bought the property in 1998, today, his young and motivated son, Ronan runs the château. Upon the best parcels of the gravel terraces in Gunz, the 11-hectare vineyard produces the best Merlot in the world. Famous cult-wine oenologist, Michel Rolland has provided consultancy input for over 10 years, producing high-standard Grand Cru wines vintage after vintage. Ronan even established innovative eco-friendly farming and vinification methods to further show respect for his terroir. Bottled with neither fining nor filtration, their wines are first matured in 100% new oak for over five years.
