Château Livran

Château Livran has had an ancient history, tracing its roots back to the Bronze Age. Though today no medieval fortress exists, it suffices to say that their land has long been occupied. In more recent history, Livran has been owned by a variety of people, including the Denman family from London in the late 19th to the mid-20th century. From then on, it was owned by French businessman, Robert Godfren, until 2008 when it was sold to a Russian investment fund. The vineyards are planted to Merlot (55%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (45%) and harvesting is done mechanically. They produce three different wines - Château Livran, Fleur de Taïs and Les Sources de Livran.
